Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

ColdSalesAI is a B2B prospecting and outreach drafting workspace. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines how customers may use the platform. By using ColdSalesAI you agree to comply with this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

2. Permitted Use

ColdSalesAI is intended for legitimate, opt-in or business-to-business outreach where you have a reasonable, lawful basis to contact the recipient. Permitted activities include researching prospects you intend to contact, drafting personalized outreach, and reviewing AI-generated drafts before manual sending.

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use ColdSalesAI to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or LinkedIn messages, or otherwise violate CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR / ePrivacy (EU/UK), or applicable anti-spam laws anywhere in the world.
  • Send messages without a valid physical postal address, accurate sender identity, and a clear opt-out mechanism where the law requires it.
  • Harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate any person or organization.
  • Generate or send messages that contain illegal content, harmful content, sexually explicit material, hate speech, or content targeting protected classes.
  • Scrape, harvest, or compile contact data from sources whose terms prohibit such collection (including LinkedIn).
  • Send outreach to addresses that have unsubscribed or appear on our global suppression list (see Unsubscribe).
  • Promote regulated or high-risk products that violate the policies of email or messaging providers (e.g. cryptocurrency schemes, adult services, illegal drugs, unregistered securities).
  • Bypass, disable, or interfere with rate limits, authentication, or any other security mechanism on the platform.
  • Use the AI generation tools to produce malware, phishing content, social-engineering pretexts, or content designed to deceive recipients about the sender's identity.
  • Train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine-learning model on ColdSalesAI outputs without our written permission.
  • Resell or redistribute the service without an authorized partner or affiliate agreement.

4. Email Compliance Requirements

When sending outreach drafted on ColdSalesAI, you are responsible for:

  • Including a working unsubscribe mechanism in every commercial message.
  • Honoring unsubscribe requests within ten (10) business days, as required by CAN-SPAM.
  • Maintaining your own suppression list of opt-outs and bounces, in addition to respecting the global ColdSalesAI suppression list.
  • Including your real, physical postal address in commercial messages where required.
  • Obtaining valid consent (where required by law) before contacting individuals in the EU, UK, Canada, or other jurisdictions with opt-in regimes.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including warning the account holder, suspending the account, terminating the account, removing content, or reporting illegal activity to law enforcement. We may take action without notice when we believe immediate action is necessary to protect recipients, the platform, or third parties.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you believe a ColdSalesAI customer is violating this policy — for example, you have received unsolicited or unwanted outreach drafted on our platform — please email abuse@coldsalesai.com with the message details. You can also opt out of future outreach by submitting your email at /unsubscribe.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of ColdSalesAI after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
